The Intro to Practical Pistol Skills course is designed for the new handgun owner or range member interested in increasing fundamental pistol and range practice knowledge and skills. In this 6hr. course of instruction essential pistol skills will be presented and then drilled dry-fire and live-fire. Everything will be presented in a relaxed, easy to understand manner with a heavy emphasis on developing consistent, safe gun-handling and accurate shooting skills.
Course content will include but is not limited to:
Pistol Safety Essentials
What You Need to Know About the Range & Safety Rules of the Range
Safe Storage & Transport Considerations
Fundamental Pistol Knowledge Overview: How the pistol functions, its parts, recommended upgrades and supportive equipment
Fundamentals of Precision Shooting
Fundamentals of Speed Shooting
Dealing with Common Malfunctions
One Hand Pistol Shooting
Practice Considerations & Recommendations
Pistol permit, serviceable pistol, comfortable clothing or duty uniform, 250 rounds of factory loaded ammunition, minimum of 2 pistol magazines/speed-loaders & holders, sturdy belt and strong side holster if you have one (is not required for this course), eye & ear protection, weather appropriate clothing, hydration, note taking materials.

*If you have a .22 conversion kit for your pistol you can use it during this course but it is highly recommended you attempt to shoot the majority of the course with your carry ammunition caliber.
