Practical Carbine Skills 1. Fundamentals of Marksmanship Module: Prone position provides the shooter with maximum body contact with the ground and thus more friction which should equate to better recoil management and higher hit potential. Understanding and having the ability to utilize various shooting positions is important but no matter the position the shooter still has to do their part utilizing solid fundamentals to get accurate and consistent hits on target. Once a little movement, environmental obstacles and decision making is thrown into the mix the shooter begins to understand why we place such an emphasis on those fundamentals and the ability to perform them consistently from any position or while moving. #mdts #training #carbine #fundamentalsofmarksmanship #practicalcarbineskills
